First off, we’d like to thank all our fans and friends for voting for us in the Cleveland Scene Music Awards! We won as “best goth/industrial” band in Cleveland! Maybe next year they’ll have an electronic music category and alleviate confusion.
To celebrate our victory, look for a new episode of M.C.D.O.N.A.L.D.S. (Missile Command Day Of New And Lovely Downloadable Stuff) coming soon to the site! A little thank you to you all.
Now, on to the future!
We have two shows coming up!
First, one that everyone can come to, no matter where they are!

And then, nary two weeks later, our first live event!

Hope to see you either at this one, or on the Internets!!!
Plenty! We’re deep in recording-land right now, with half of our next CD already recorded! This next release will continue in our exploration of all genres of electronic music, this time wrapped around the theme of futures that never happened. We hope you’ll enjoy the next album. We’re shooting for a late 2010 release!
One of the other things we’re working on is exclusive downloadable content for our dearest fans and friends, what we’ve dubbed “Missile Command Day Of New And Lovely Downloadable Stuff” or M.C.D.O.N.A.L.D.S. for short. What exactly is it? It’s a bunch of neat exclusives, including stuff from our upcoming release, new covers, video, art, etc. Our first M.C.D.O.N.A.L.D.S. will be coming out in two weeks. To get on the list, all you have to do is become a fan of us over on Facebook, or join our Twitter feed. If you’re on Facebook, just search for Missile Command and become a fan there. If you’re on Twitter, you can find us under @mchq.
We’ll be starting up on shows again come March, which we’ll be announcing dates around February. It’s been an exciting 2009, with adding Dawn and Lori to the full-time stage lineup. We’re going to be playing with how we do things live based upon that for 2010, which you’ll have to wait and see what we’ve got up our sleeves!
We hope you have a great holiday season, and remember, Missile Command schwag makes great gifts for everyone!
See you in 2010!!
Sorry it took longer than expected to post this. I take full responsibility for the lapse (aka brain fart). Anyway, without further ado:
THE WINNERS OF THE MISSILE COMMAND REMIX CONTEST!!!!
First of all, we’d like to thank all those that participated. Every remix was awesome. However, the fans have spoken, and here’s what they say!
Remix #12 - Andromeda 8 (M31 Mix) by Dr. Peter Naegele
Remix #11 – FTS Beta 9/I Know You (Highest Fastest/Down/Cool As Fire/ Nightime Radio) by Thomas Durdella
Remix #5 – Andromeda 8 (DJ Salty Flavor Mix) by DJ Salty Flavor
In other news: A show!

Missile Command’s remix contest, ends THIS WEEKEND! We NEED YOU!!!
Basically, we’ve had some cheating going on with regard to the voting, so we need more votes from more people in order to judge fairly! For those of you who missed the memo…I’m in a band called Missile Command, and we’re working on our second album. Part of what we decided to do is a remix contest, and it’s coming to an end this weekend!
You can go to http://missile-command.net/blog/?p=10 to download and listen to all 12 remixes (it’s FREE!) and then you can leave a comment on the bottom of the page with your favorite song listed. If you have a tie or a second song, list it as well! The top three songs will be featured on our next album, “The Future.”
If you’ve never heard our music, Missile Command has some song samples at both the Missile Command Website and our MySpace Page.
You may also listen to samples of all the songs from our first album, “Machines Should Think, People Should Work,” on iTunes, Rhapsody, and Amazon.com. Just look for the album title! You may, of course, just buy the songs/ entire album there as well! ~8)
Please spread the word, tell your mom, nudge your neighbor!
Most importantly, PLEASE VOTE!
Our “FUTURE” album is in YOUR HANDS (and ears!~;)
And this will be the last show for the summer. September is a very busy month outside of Missile Command for all of us, and we’ll be taking a little break then. However, we’ll be back in October…so get ready for a Halloween party that will blow you away!!
As you may have heard, the show on Friday is on! Missile Command, Ludwyg, The Bridge Party, and Fluxion will be playing at The Phantasy! All proceeds will be going to help the Phantasy rebuild. We’re hoping to have a great show up there, so come on out and support one of the last places that lets small bands get a start.
See you Friday!
Please tune in to 91.1 WRUW tonight between 7:30pm – 10:00pm for a special announcement regarding the concert on Friday. Billy from Ludwyg will be on Darewaves. If you can’t pick it up, the show is also streamed on wruw.org
Thank you everyone for everything.

The fire at the Phantasy Complex.
Driving back from dinner, Lori and I noticed our name on the marquee at the Phantasy. Then, we noticed that the Attic, which is a little consignment shop next door, was on fire.
Everyone there is okay, but we’re not sure as to the state of the show on Friday. Stay tuned for details…if not, um, anyone got a place for us to show? Also not sure of the state of Jim’s DJ appearance at the Chamber on Saturday.

Missile Command, Ludwyg, The Bridge Party, and Fluxion Live on the July 17th!
One of the first things that needs to get done is getting this remix contest finished up. As such, we’ve listened to the many remixes that we’ve received, and are having the toughest time making up our minds as to which one we like the best. Therefor, we’re going to let you all vote on it. We’ve narrowed it down to twelve. So, take a listen to each of them, and reply to this post with the number of the remix you like the best! You have until August 15th. The top three votes will be on our next CD. Thanks for your help!!
