Nor are we sleeping…we are, in fact, currently hard at work on our upcoming CD, “The Future”. We’re eight songs in out of the ten we’d like to put on there, as well as the winners from the remix contest. Keep your eyes out here and our Facebook, Myspace, LiveJournal, etc. for news as it comes.
Also, just a quick heads up that we have an EXTREMELY limited number of copies of “MACHINES SHOULD THINK PEOPLE SHOULD WORK” left. We may or may not be repressing it, based upon demand. If you’ve been waiting to buy a copy, now would be a good time!

We’re happy to announce that we’re over halfway done with the next CD, entitled “The Future”! We’re hoping for a late 2010 release…stay tuned!
To help ring in the holidays (and help you rock from party to party, as well as at said parties), we here at Missile Command are giving away three newly available songs as part of our Missile Command Day Of New And Lovely Downloadable Stuff! You can go here to download all of them. We’re really happy with how they all came out, and would love to hear from you what you think!
Plenty! We’re deep in recording-land right now, with half of our next CD already recorded! This next release will continue in our exploration of all genres of electronic music, this time wrapped around the theme of futures that never happened. We hope you’ll enjoy the next album. We’re shooting for a late 2010 release!
One of the other things we’re working on is exclusive downloadable content for our dearest fans and friends, what we’ve dubbed “Missile Command Day Of New And Lovely Downloadable Stuff” or M.C.D.O.N.A.L.D.S. for short. What exactly is it? It’s a bunch of neat exclusives, including stuff from our upcoming release, new covers, video, art, etc. Our first M.C.D.O.N.A.L.D.S. will be coming out in two weeks. To get on the list, all you have to do is become a fan of us over on Facebook, or join our Twitter feed. If you’re on Facebook, just search for Missile Command and become a fan there. We’ll be starting up on shows again come March, which we’ll be announcing dates around February. It’s been an exciting 2009, with adding Dawn and Lori to the full-time stage lineup. We’re going to be playing with how we do things live based upon that for 2010, which you’ll have to wait and see what we’ve got up our sleeves!

In celebration of the fortieth anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing of the Eagle module, and in hopes for future and further manned exploration of the cosmos, we are happy to bring you our instrumental Time Stopped for free download. Written during the Machines Should Think People Should Work sessions, this song has been tossed around for awhile, looking for a good home. Well, I think I’ve found one.
Forty years is a very long time since man first stepped on a surface he wasn’t born on. Too long. Sadly, when Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon, he also unintentionally signaled the death knell of further exploration. The Space Race was won, why bother? Congress had better things to do with that money.
Unfortunately, human space exploration has reigned itself in, and we now hide in low Earth orbit. It’s time to let someone once again leave the cradle of this island Earth and step foot once again on foreign soil. Man must explore, whether it be by government funding or through private means. Let us not forget those dreams that we promised ourselves, and not let those bold Apollo explorers’ adventures to the Moon become an anachronism of what could have been.

Hi everyone,
Just heard down the pipe that the Phantasy will be closed until further notice. We here at Missile Command a happy to know that all the employees of the Phantasy Complex are safe, and we’re hoping for a quick turnaround and recovery. We’ve played there many times, and we’re looking forward to many more shows there!
That being said, we’re currently without a venue on Friday night. What are we to do? As of right now, the show is cancelled. However, if anyone has a place, knows of a place, and wants to book the bands on Friday night, let us know! All of the bands are ready to play, and we do have a small PA we can bring along, if need be. That’s Missile Command, LUDWYG, The Bridge Party (Friday was supposed to be their debut concert), and Fluxion (of Detroit).
If we can’t find a place, we’ll still be playing in August. News to follow on that.
